NEPTUNE have released a very nice SCREENER of comedy Step brothers starring John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell! This is the first good quality version f this film to come out of the scene. being a SCREENER its in 4:3 aspect ratio rather than the normal 16:9. The video is noticeably a bit lower than an R5 or DVDRip but crucially not by too much. The sound is MP3 but for my ears it sounds perfectly adequate. Enjoy!

Synopsis: Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, who last teamed in the box-office smash “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,” now star in “Step Brothers,” directed by Adam McKay (“Talladega Nights”). In “Step Brothers,” Ferrell plays Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy (Mary Steenburgen). Reilly plays Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert (Richard Jenkins). When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.

judging from the sample it’s alright for a screener video is about an 8 audio is a 9 the picture is a bit blurry and its Fullscreen but is to be expected from a VHS screener very watchable copy though better than a cam!

Hey, if anyone wants to know the quality on this screener, I downloaded it from a private scene site… Anyways, the video and audio quality isn’t the best for a screener… It’s still pretty decent though… Here’s what I find.

The video is weird… When you see it, you’ll notice right away… The color black in the movie is sort of a tinted dark blue, to be honest… The video isn’t as sharp as it should be, either, it’s too smooth…

Also, the audio sounds a little like the audio from the TS copy, to be totally honest, this audio is better, I mean Mamma Mia had perfect screener audio… If you’ve seen the sample for the TS version, you’ll know what I mean.

All in all, this copy is the best by far (of course 😉 ), and I would recommend this to anyone who can’t wait for the dvdrip, which I will also be getting, as well as the unrated version (hopefully only the unrated dvdrip releases and not the regular version LOL)!

its due to the vhs to digital converter the people use, it is real hard to get the quality to transfer from a screener, it is still better than the TS and for free and a few beers later is fun for me!!

Thanks for the review Armstrong I’ll pass for an R5 at least…
