A big release from a big group. Razor1911 bring us the goods on this massive game. There has been a lot of hype over Saints Row 2 from the console releases and now here it is for the PC users.

NuZZ: This IGN article states that the performance is damn near unplayable. Just when you were thinking this could be a GTA4 alternative it turns out to have worse performance than GTA4. Lets hope the reviewer is wrong and something has changed?

UPDATE: Seems performance issues are for reals. See this thread on official forums. I believe it isn’t even worth a download even if you have a 280 and quad core.

Description: Saints Row 2 takes place a few years after the original. Several new upstart gangs have been able to sweep in and make their mark on Stilwater. At the same time, a multi-national conglomerate known as the Ultor Corporation has become a pivotal player in city politics, pumping millions of dollars into rebuilding the metropolis.

As leader of the Saints, you’ll have to do whatever it takes to protect the members of your gang from new enemies, including the Ultor Corporation and rival gangs.

The megaupload one doesnt work. I downloaded all 7 files and extracted and joined to an iso file but it asks for a r.00 file and there is none only r.01

Ok so i figured out how to do it. They dont call me a pc genius for nothin lol

Anyone downloading the megupload files. U need to extract then change the first file to .r00
then the 2nd one to .r01 and so forth until u get 72 files. Open the .r00 file where the iso is and copy it to a folder and open with daemon tools.

Now this completely sucks :/ Was looking for a game to take away my GTA4 pain. I somewhat found that, being able to run this game on either low/defined settings (512MB 7950GT) just weren’t enough to take away my this aching pain! Now there’s added another one!

I simply can’t live with the game style – the way the cars are moving >.< it’s sickening! They shouldn’t even put cars in the damned game, if there’s no way in hell to drive normal :/ (I know there’s a cruise control button, but what the hell does that help, when bad guys are on your tail, and you have to drive fast to get away, but in the meantime also can’t control the car).

*sigh* Major MAJOR headache on my behalf. It’s definetly worth trying out – Maybe it’ll be better on a console. Speaking for my behalf, both THQ and R* can suck on my ballsack

Yeah i have been trying to set the graphics. There has been no game (Far cry 2, NFS undercover all on max graphics) that didnt run smoothly on my PC so far except this one, Dual core2, 4GB Ram and Geforce 9800GT ultra. I put it to low settings and still was unplayable. Dont bother downloading it for PC. I used to have it on PS3 the graphics sucked on that. Thats why GTA4 wins, better graphic low pc requirments. This SR2 IS just complete shit and worthless.

ok. Here’s the real scoop. this games graphic are amazing compared to GTA4. I read all these great reviews that it would be like gta san andreas, and to my surpirse it is somewhat like it if not better. The car mods are excelent. The gangs are hilarious. The character customization is fucking amazing.

Now to the real point. After all this, THE GAME SUCKS HUGE DICKS. You cannot even control the game properly. Driving a car is nearly imposible, which makes game play next to nothing. This is the most horribly controlled game ever made. I’m not complaining about it being free here for the taking. I had to try it. I am just disgusted by the game play. If you like to get dizzy and vomit from motion sickness, download away. But don’t expect to be satisfied to your San Andreas needs.

after I started the game it just load gamespy logo then erreor message pop up says sr2.exe stoped working and the same with nfs shift
