Razor1911 released the new RTS game “Empire: Total War (Special Forces Edition)”, which is the same as the normal game in addition to incorporating six elite faction-specific units: HMS Victory, the French Irish Brigade, Spanish guerillas, Gurkha infantry, Rogers’ Rangers and the Ottoman Organ Gun. Enjoy!
NoFate: this release is reportedly missing game sounds and Razor1911′s custom installer is causing many people problems. I would advise to wait for a nuke and an eventual prooper.

Description: Empire: Total War maintains the series’ genre-leading 3D battles, grand turn-based campaign map and rich historical flavor while for the first time introducing 3D naval combat into the series. The game is set in the 18th century, a turbulent era alive with global conflict, revolutionary fervour and technological advances. Empire: Total War sees the debut of 3D naval combat — gamers will be able to intuitively command vast fleets or single ships upon seascapes rich with extraordinary water and weather effects that play a huge role in your eventual glorious success or ignominious defeat. The Part1 to Part7 thing is fake, of course. Medashares seems to be real. But 15GB @ 300KB/s –> 17h >_<

I’m very concerned: I downloaded DVD 2 already, and the contents are… not the sort of thing I’d expect in a game CD.

They are Steam files. Steam uses their own protection file system.

I see. So the download is still “official” so to speak, and will work once I get the first DVD downloaded?

Also, I must say that Steam is the only reason I haven’t got this game brand new in a package right now.

After join the hjsplit files, i get a no extension file that I suposse it´s the image. Any solution?

Legitimate real person report:

I downloaded the two DVD iso’s from Megashares.

They work. They are the real thing. They are legitimate.

- It uses a special Razor1911 installer which is actually faster than normal installation was for Medieval II Total War. Not actually sure if that means this is a true copy of the game or some kind of cracked version (like that Myth version of GTA3 that had no movies or music)

- This has the movies and music. Once you finish installing, remember to copy the contents of the Razor1911 folder in the DVD to the game installed folder. It doesn’t have an executable itself, so you need to copy the Razor1911 folder’s EXE and use that.

- I don’t know about multi-languaging, but it was english by default and remains english.

- It will indeed need the sound fix, as the cannons and rifles made no sounds, but people still spoke.

Hint of advice: I’ve read around that two different sound fixes are floating about; one is 450 MB, one is 800 MB. The 800 MB one is REAL. That is the one to use for the full game.

The cannons are fucking LOUD. I jumped in my seat when I had zoomed in too close to one.

- My system is rather more high-end than I had initially presumed, as I’m actually able to run the game on high settings smoothly—more smoothly than I am able to with Medieval II Total War.

- There are no major graphical problems, except in sea battles. If you zoom in too closely to the ships, you see the surface start to checkerboard a bit with black bits, like a clipping effect on the thousands of tiny hull particles.

- The game lets you play in windowed mode without any shortcut tag (ie, -w or -win or -ne) or .cfg editing (as in M2TW)

- The text is rather small compared to M2TW, and there’s a whole hell of a lot more data to take in on settlements than in the previous incarnations.

- The campaign map is massive and seamlessly shifts between India, America, and various spots like the coast of Brazil, coast of Madagascar, Ivory Coast, East Indies, without any additional loading.

- Naval battles are extremely fun, and slightly reminiscent of Sid Meier’s Pirates!, but it’s much harder to keep track of all your ships.

- I don’t see how modification will be possible unless they do what they did with M2TW and release an unpacker tool in the next patch; all the game files are in .pack files rather than splayed out in convenient text files like with Rome Total War.

I’ve ran through my usual sites and I can only find the 450 one.

Akhareshe in your post for dvd2 part64(in first extraction) is corrupt, can you upload the working part 64? Missing file name is rzr_etw2.64.

I downloaded this three times already and I am about to give up on this all together, thanks for your help.
