Ironically this is an animation/docu about middle eastern/Israeli war and has gotten very positive feedback and a few awards. The IMDB is nice, and the RT is especially nice. Shiny saw this in cinemas (that place where suckers watch movies) and apparently it is good. I am always a bit cautious when it comes to films of foreign languages (hebrew), but this looks like an exception. The quality also appears nice. See the trailer after the cut.

Synopsis: One night at a bar, an old friend tells director Ari about a recurring nightmare in which he is chased by 26 vicious dogs. Every night, the same number of beasts. The two men conclude that thereâ€™s a connection to their Israeli Army mission in the first Lebanon War of the early eighties. Ari is surprised that he canâ€™t remember a thing anymore about that period of his life. Intrigued by this riddle, he decides to meet and interview old friends and comrades around the world. He needs to discover the truth about that time and about himself. As Ari delves deeper and deeper into the mystery, his memory begins to creep up in surreal images

Does anyone know where to get correct subs for \”Waltz with Bashir\”? The torrent is advertised as having them, but they do not show up. I have tried the .avi in both WMP and VLC without success.

I tried downloading one, but it had a virus and seems to be Babelfished anyway.

To all of those who think this is an Israeli propoganda, you better shut up and read before you post… This story does have political carrage but it is LEFT wing-ed.. Through out the whole film (once he finishes remembering what happened and what he done) you can see the main hero being sorry for what happened..

Plus, the Sabra and Shatila massacures (spelling?) were done by Palastinianes (spelling?) to Palastinianes… It is true the IDF stood as it happened but this is what this story is all about!

As for what this dumbasss Yep said, if you’ll see the movie, youll know he didnt kill any children.. The IDF doesnt kill people who are not involved in fighting.. In case he does, it is either done by mistake followed by great sorrow OR (as was just seen in Gaza) because Hamas has taken the citizens of Gaza hostage and uses civilians as human shields.. Forcing them to stand infront of them while shooting mortats and missiles and standing on tops of houses filled with rockets and bombs so the IDF wont bomb the house from air…
