This film looks very interesting. Directed by Steve McQueen, so it should be quite good. It depicts life in Maze prison where IRA prisoners were held. Quality wise it looks great, from the bit ive seen there looks to be no watermark or timer.

Edit: its been nuked:

    There is room enough for all the Irish born.

    There is no room for the British.

    The Risen Peoples.

    “ghostie Says: well it’s pastie in orangeland”

    You mean. or you meant aye, “It’s a pastie” ?

    Whereabouts in “Orangeland” is a Pasty known as a “Pastie”?

    Belfast, Glasgow, Liverpool? … Or your house?

    Is that Irish for bunch of murderous bastids?

    I wonder if there will be a movie in sympathy with the 9-11 suicide bombers in 20 years.
    Maybe Gary Gliiter will introduce it

  11. 11. 1969 Sep 19th, 2008 at 10:01 pm

    I’ll sit and wait to hear from Plebb when Bobby Sands Killed or Murdered anybody during the troubles.

    I do know that Maggie Thatcher and the Tory government murdered him…and many other Irish men and women, not to mention Britons.

    But hey… lets just wave the Jack. And wonder not.

    Yer feckin’ clot’s.

    1969 – He wasn’t convicted of murder, but was arrested for possession of handguns that had been involved in a police shoot out, he was an active member of the PIRA at the worst time of the troubles and although not convicted was suspected to be part of several bombings – you know, the ones were often innocent people got killed and / or injured?

    It makes him a terrorist, he made his choice in prison and frankly probably got what he deserved regardless of the politics on both sides. He’s certainly no martyr or hero.

    And it’s “Could you go a sausage supper” – not “Pasty” and it’s fucking spelt Pastie in English speaking countries, walk into a supermarket or chippy if you need a reminder you dicks.

    Prolly give this film a miss, there’s been a few already on this event.

    @1970

    Bobby was arrested and interned for possession of firearms. “Not a Shoot out”.

    It’s a PASTY in ENGLISH, not a Pastie. Its Pasties not Pasty’s, in ENGLISH CHIPPIES AND IN ENGLISH BAKERS… ask the Cornish ya ked.

    Next time you speak to me, take ya friggin thumb out of your mouth eh?

    luv ya x

    ps… It was a shotgun not a pistol (handguns) by the way.

    “Directed by Steve McQueen, so it should be quite good”

    I hope that quote was a joke, because this director Steve McQueen is a complete unknown, contrast the famous late actor Steve McQueen who died nearly 3 decades ago.

    @1970

    Hey, guess what – he was an active member of a terrorist organization and killed himself – 1 down many more to go. Good riddance to gutter trash shit.
