A new documentary called Young@Heart was released for us by LMG. The doco is only on Limited release, so theres a good chance you haven’t heard of it. It looks quite interesting, and may well be worth the download.

Synopsis: Documents the true story of the final weeks of rehearsal for the Young at Heart Chorus in Northampton, MA, whose average age is 81, and many of whom must overcome health adversities to participate. Their music is unexpected, going against the stereotype of their age group, performing songs, for example, by James Brown, and Sonic Youth. Although they have toured Europe and sang for royalty, this account focuses on preparing new songs, not an easy endeavor, for a concert in their home town, which succeeds in spite of several real heart breaking events.

“I WANNA BE SEDATED” if I hear about this movie one more time!! :P It looks funny, but I worked at a movie theatre where I’d have to hear a super old native dude scream at the top of his lungs and hold the note for 6 seconds into a mic over 10 times PER DAY… I almost went postal (not the Uwe Boll way, either ;) )
