Race to With Mountain a new Disney flick. It has some surprisingly good ratings at IMDB and RT which means it could be worth the watch even if you are a little older then this films target demographic. It stars some generic Disney-esque looking kids and the retired wrestler who CAN act; Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Quality isn’t brilliant if I’m brutally honest. But its what you would expect from a VHS Screener and it is the best quality you can get for this film right about now. Download if you think this is worth it, smoke up & enjoy.

Suddenly taken by Kate’s British charm, a tipsy Harvey bombards her with tales of his trouble. This unlikely trading of sob stories leads to lunch, a walk around London, and a day of unexpected romance.

Thompson is charming as Kate, a lonely middle-age woman struggling to deal with her mother’s constant prying into her life. Despite not having had the best of luck in romance, Kate is an optimist at heart, and it’s this spark for life that attracts Harvey and ultimately helps repair his image in his daughter’s eyes. Never showy or too ambitious, Joel Hopkins’s slow-paced romance twists old clich?s to suit a more adult audience. While not groundbreaking in its plot, LAST CHANCE HARVEY is saved by great performances from the always-solid Hoffman and the incredibly charming Thompson, who makes an otherwise familiar story feel fresh.

NEPTUNE have released a very nice SCREENER of comedy Step brothers starring John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell! This is the first good quality version f this film to come out of the scene. being a SCREENER its in 4:3 aspect ratio rather than the normal 16:9. The video is noticeably a bit lower than an R5 or DVDRip but crucially not by too much. The sound is MP3 but for my ears it sounds perfectly adequate. Enjoy!

The quality is as quite good for a VHS SCR, not great, but very clear and watchable. The video bitrate is a little low, but I doubt it matters too much because of the source. Only real downside is that its fullframe, however that is to be expected. Audio seems a bit muffled, but nothing major.

PUKKA bring us the first release of new movie Henry Poole Is Here. It has some decent enough scores on the review sites and stars Luke Wilson someone i find personally quite funny. Looks good for a night of entertainment then. As for the rls itself its great. Both in the video and audio departments. By the time James returns, Kristen is in hysterics, and together they must face the terrifying fact that they are indeed in grave danger. Both Tyler and Speedman give excellent, understated performances that lend the film a truly frightening edge of realism. The story’s simplicity is a refreshing change from over-the-top torture films like SAW, and the violence in the film is minimal, and much of it off camera. THE STRANGERS also lacks any big-budget special effects. You won’t find any CGI creatures or armies of zombies. The only monsters depicted here are the very real human kind, which is what leaves you thoroughly spooked and shaken, and ready to push a chair against your own front door.

Plot: Successful and single businesswoman Kate Holbrook has long put her career ahead of a personal life. Now 37, she’s finally determined to have a kid on her own. But her plan is thrown a curve ball after she discovers she has only a million-to-one chance of getting pregnant. Undaunted, the driven Kate allows South Philly working girl Angie Ostrowiski to become her unlikely surrogate. Simple enough. After learning from the steely head of their surrogacy center that Angie is pregnant, Kate goes into precision nesting mode: reading childcare books, baby-proofing the apartment and researching top pre-schools. But the executive’s well-organized strategy is turned upside down when her Baby Mama shows up at her doorstep with no place to live. An unstoppable force meets an immovable object as structured Kate tries to turn vibrant Angie into the perfect expectant mom. In a comic battle of wills, they will struggle their way through preparation for the baby’s arrival. And in the mid dle of this tug-of-war, they’ll discover two kinds of family: the one you’re born to and the one you make.
